Today I don’t have words, so here are some pictures.
The hallway of the Empress Hotel, which reminds me of the Overlook.
The harbour, Victoria
Our conference hotel, The Empress
An Arbutus tree.
Mammoth display at the Royal BC Museum
Totems, Royal BC Museum
Colonial street, reconstructed inside the Royal BC Museum
Parliament Buildings and Queen Victoria.
Sunday flea market in Market Square. One stall had some great vinyl, but I resisted.
A local beer, Elsinore, from the Phillips Brewing Company. Refreshing, and great packaging.
The queue at Red Fish Blue Fish, which I then stood in for an hour just for halibut and chips. It was worth it.

I’ve tried a few brew pubs so far, but not Swans – I’ll add it to the list!

I had lunch at Swans today, and sampled one of their pale ales. Not a bad drop.
